I can’t wait to show you this square guys! I love its simple style, but also all the different things you can do with it!

Let’s get crocheting guys!
CAL – Part 13
Granny Square – Radiating Circle Square

All crochet patterns and terms I use are in UK, but if you want them in US then check out this handy stitch converter.
Materials:
- DK yarn in orange, blue and yellow – I used Stylecraft DK yarn that I got from my order from Deramores =D
- 3mm hook
Skills used/required:
- Treble Crochet (tc)
- Chaining
- Slip stitch (sl st)
- Magic Ring
- Double Crochet (dc)
- Half Treble Crochet (htc)
- Double treble Crochet (dtc)
- Front Post Treble Crochet (fptc)
Row 0: In blue yarn. Magic ring, ch 3, 11 tc into ring. Sl st into 3rd ch in ch3. (12 stitches total)
Row 1: ch 3, fptc in same st, *(tc, fptc) in next stitch*. Repeat from * 10 times. Sl st into 3rd ch in ch3. (24 stitches total)
Row 2: ch 3, *(tc, fptc) in next stitch, tc *. Repeat from * 10 times. Finish off with (tc, fptc) in next stitch, sl st into 3rd ch in ch3. Fasten off. (36 stitches total)
Row 3: In yellow yarn. Attach yarn, ch 3, * tc, (tc, fptc), tc *. Repeat from * 10 times. Finish off with tc, (tc, fptc) in next stitch, sl st into 3rd ch in ch3. Fasten off. (48 stitches total)
Row 4: In blue yarn. Attach yarn, ch 3, * tc, tc, (tc, fptc), tc *. Repeat from * 10 times. Finish off with tc, tc, (tc, fptc) in next stitch, sl st into 3rd ch in ch3. (60 stitches total)
Row 5: ch 3, * tc, tc, tc, (tc, fptc), tc *. Repeat from * 10 times. Finish off with tc, tc, tc, (tc, fptc), sl st into 3rd ch in ch3. Fasten off. (72 stitches total)
You now should have your lovely circle with raised posts, like a clock!
I have attached the diagram below for those of you who would rather work from that =D I didn’t put sl st or chains in this diagram for ease of reading, but there will be a full diagram at the end of this post =)

Now to make it a square!
Row 6: Attach orange yarn in same place as fastened off in previous row. Ch 4, *tc in next stitch, htc, dc in next 12 stitches, htc, tc, dtc, ch 3, dtc *. Repeat from * twice more. Finish with tc in next stitch, htc, dc in next 12 stitches, htc, tc, dtc, ch 3, sl st into 4th chain in ch4.
Row 7: ch2, htc in each stitch around. For corner 3ch spaces, (2htc, tc, 2htc).

And now you should have a lovely radiating sqaure!
