I made a few new squares over the past week, and so I might post some of them early! But who knows; until then, here is the first new square from the bunch!

CAL – Part 17
Granny Square – Floral Square

All crochet patterns and terms I use are in UK, but if you want them in US then check out this handy stitch converter.
Materials:
- DK yarn in various colours – I’m still using Stylecraft DK yarn that I got in my order from Deramores =D
- 3mm hook
- Embroidery or Darning needle
Skills used/required:
- Treble Crochet (tc) and long treble crochet (long tc)
- Half Treble Crochet (htc)
- Chaining
- Slip stitch (sl st)
- double crochet (dc)
Row 0: Ch 8, then join with sl st.
Row 1: ch 1, dc 16 into the circle, finish with sl st into 1st dc.
Row 2: Ch 6, skip st, tc into next stitch, * ch 3, skip st, tc into next stitch *. Repeat from * 5 times. Finish with ch 3, sl st into 3rd ch in ch 6.
Row 3: ch 1, dc, *5 tc into 3 ch space, dc into tc from previous row*. Repeat from * 7 times. Finish with 5 tc into 3 ch space, sl st into beginning dc.
Row 4: ch 5, tc into same dc st, * ch 2, tc into middle tc from previous row, ch 6, tc into next middle tc from previous row, ch 2, (tc, ch 2, tc) into dc*. Repeat from * twice more. Finish with ch 2, tc into middle tc from previous row, ch 6, tc into next middle tc from previous row, ch 2,sl st into ch3 of 5ch.
Row 5: sl st into 2 ch space. ch 1, dc in same 2ch space, *ch 4, (3tc, ch 3, 3tc) into ch 6 space, ch 4, dc into ch 2 space. Repeat from * twice more. Finish with ch 4, (3tc, ch 3, 3tc) into ch 6 space, ch 4, sl st into dc.
Row 6: ch 3, * 3 tc into ch 4 space, long tc into dc from row 3, tc in next 3 stitches, (2tc, ch2, 2tc) in corner ch 3 space, tc in next 3 stitches, long tc into same dc from row 3, 3 tc into ch 4 space, tc into dc from previous row * . Repeat from * twice more. Finish with 3 tc into ch 4 space, long tc into dc from row 3, tc in next 3 stitches, (2tc, ch2, 2tc) in corner ch 3 space, tc in next 3 stitches, long tc into same dc from row 3, 3 tc into ch 4 space, sl st into 3ch of ch3.

Row 7: Ch 2, htc in each stitch around, with a long hdc into the previous long stitch (see above), and (2htc, 2ch, 2htc) in the corner 2ch spaces. Finish with a sl st into 1st htc.
Now you should have a lovely fancy square! I hope you guys like it! I haven’t managed to make the crochet chart for this square yet, but as soon as I have it done I will add it to this post, so keep checking back if you need it! =)
