Welcome to MillwardMakes!

My name is Abigail Millward and I am a lover of all crafty things. I am also a passionate conservationist, a runner and the Number One fan of our dog, Jasper!

I have been crafting on and off since I was little; from making doggies out of Hama/ Perler beads with my sister, to making felt collages during the summer holidays. Since 2012 I have been delving into various different crafts, including upholstery, crocheting and scrapbooking.

I wanted to start this blog to share my projects, and also to encourage fellow crafters to pursue a new project or hobby. When I first started crocheting, I couldn’t even do a double crochet stitch (single crochet in US ); the hat that I was making took weeks, and is soooo lumpy! I still keep it as a reminder of how practice makes perfect.

All patterns that I publish are written in UK crochet terms, but don’t let that stop anyone as its only words!

I hope that this blog gives you the confidence to go ahead and try out a new hobby, or even just a new technique, and if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me!
