Stash busting blankets and other projects

Stash busting heaven

Hi guys,

It’s been a while! I’ve made a resolution to write at least one blog post a month again, as I do miss writing down my patterns and my thoughts.

My first post of the year is a simple one; first I will recommend some of my favourite stash busting patterns, and then I will share the “pattern” I used for the above blanket. It has no defined pattern as such, no set size and no required yarns; just stash yarn of any colour(s), an appropriate sized hook and some tea to get the job done! 🙂

Let’s get crocheting,

Abigail

Nobbly Pumpkin Pattern

Hi Guys!

It’s been a while! It’s been a busy few months lately, and what with Covid lockdowns I have been focused on other things, but I am back, and I have a few new patterns to share! The first one is my new nobbly pumpkin pattern; I came up with it one evening, trying to think of ways to use my Scheepjes Stonewashed-Riverwashed Pack.

This pattern uses two of these little 10g yarn skeins for the pumpkin body, and then a final skein for the pumpkin top. This pattern is remarkably quick to whip up, and the texture is just fantastic! Lastly, this pattern, unlike other pumpkin patterns, doesn’t require you to work around the pumpkin with a yarn strand to create the segmented look; the texture does that on its own!

So without further ado, let’s get crocheting!

My first pattern I have released is my crochet spa set! I have included four patterns in this set; a flannel, a face scrubby, bath pouffe and a soap holder pattern, and all for only £2.50.

If you also follow me on instagram, you will notice that I have donated one of these sets to the BrandsAgainstRacism raffle held by lots of small businesses. If you wish to enter:

2) Make a donation (please don’t add gift aid)
3) Screenshot your donation confirmation
4) Send the screenshot to brandsagainstracism@gmail.com

Hi Guys!

Today is the last part of our CAL! I can’t believe it! I will still drop in now and again with pictures of this beauty and maybe different squares to add to the blanket if you wish, but apart from that it will all be over. I want to wish you guys a big thankyou for following me on this journey and for crocheting along with me, and I do hope you like your final blanket too!

Happy crocheting,

Abigail

GSG Part 40 – Stitch Up, catch up edition!

Hi Guys!

I’m really sorry for the late post. I really wanted to do the second part of the stitch up today, but my car decided to break so I spent most of the day fixing it! I also thought it took me a fair while to get the squares ready for part 2, so I thought I would use this as a cheeky excuse to assume you guys might need the extra week too. Next week we will be stitching all the squares together, and then the final stitch up will be doing a gorgeous border! All in time for Christmas, how exciting =D

Have a nice week off all, and see you again soon =)

GSG Part 38 – Catch up Round 2!

Hi Guys,

I know I said this week we would be starting to work on joining our squares together, but I am currently in the Cotswold’s enjoying a little break from reality, and as such haven’t had as much time to get the post ready as I would have liked. Because of this, I have decided to make this Sunday our final catch up session, as I do know some of you have a few more squares you wish to make; next Sunday I promise we will begin crocheting this blanket together, I promise it will be worth it!

Until next week guys ❤
